We are in our last day at the SKP Park outside Benson Arizona. Our stay here has been great as each day presents us with a new sky. There have been two Super Moons, one in December and another in January rising from behind the mountains like the Wizard of Oz’s balloon. We try to catch the sunset each day and are wowed when a cloudy sky produces magnificent displays. So, sit back in your lawn chair, look at the photos and pretend that you are in Arizona.

We spent a windy day visiting friends Kelly and Al and dog Pheebs aka The Bayfield Bunch. They were boon-docking in a lovely grassland, near Sierra Vista overlooking the Huachuca and Mule Mountains. Friends have a home there and welcome “The Bunch” to camp on their acreage. The winds kicked up the clouds and provided a constantly changing sky- drama as a backdrop for our enjoyable visit. Thanks BB!
Arizona sunrises are a real treat!
Travelling south for our visit with Kelly and Al.

Grasslands here make me feel like I’m in Africa. A Zebra will appear shortly!
How many Canadians does it take to change a lightbulb?
Al is a super photographer: check out his blog!
More Moon….Jan 2. The Wolf Moon howled again….
Tunes…. Every Sunday afternoon, local musicians gather for a Jam here at the park. One morning, waiting for a table in town, a couple asked us to join them for breakfast. Sweet folks, Elaine boasted they’d been married for over sixty five years. They had great tales to tell about Charlie’s Navy days and how he had later lost three fingers to a ban saw. It turned out that Charlie had been performing and winning awards for over sixty years for his guitar, mandolin, harmonica and saxophone playing. He was among the bunch whose music we quite enjoyed.
Our new friend Charlie.
We met many great people in the park and had a great stay here. Tomorrow we head to BLM land north of Quartzite, Arizona where Chris will attend a Ham fest next week.
